Technology article 3/28/14 A 3-D printed skull is implanted successfully

Doctors in the Netherlands reported that they used a 3-D printed skull to help a patient. The surgery took 23 hour longs. The women suffered from her thickening of the skull which caused headaches and blindness.
The doctors that did the surgery have said that without the 3-D printed skull the women would have most likely died. This is the first time that a 3-d printed part was used in any operations let alone a major skull operation.
